Beats of Rage

As fans of the 'Streets of Rage' series that originally appeared on the SEGA megadrive/genesis, we always wanted to see streets of rage 4. But the waiting proved futile, and streets of rage 4 never came. That's why we tried to correct this mistake and fill the void by making the ultimate tribute to Streets of Rage:

Beats of Rage!!

Originally intended as nothing more than a fun little private project, Beats of Rage soon became a very popular game which was ported to many platforms (Linux, Playstaion2, DreamCast, XBox and will go to run at others). Senile Team strive to be your source for high-quality old-school games, graphics with character, well-chosen soundtracks and, most importantly, the solid gameplay we feel one can only find in the classic genres.

Installation:

Download Beats of Rage data file from here (http://www.senileteam.com/downloads.php?d=6) and save them to your Desktop

Download Beats of Rage Linux launcher from here (http://www.senileteam.com/downloads.php?d=13) and save them to your Desktop

To the terminal;

cd ~/Desktop
unzip -o Beats_of_Rage_1.0029.zip
unzip -o borlinux.zip -d ~/Desktop/BOR
cd BOR
chmod +x bor.lxe
rm -f bor.exe
cp BOR.PAK bor.pak && rm -f BOR.PAK
cp Bor.ico bor.png && rm -f Bor.ico
nano Bor-Start.sh

add the following:

#!/bin/bash
cd ~/.Games/BOR
./bor.lxe

Save [ctrl] + [o] and exit [ctrl] + [x].

To the terminal once more;

Code:

chmod +x Bor-Start.sh
cd ..
mkdir ~/.Games && mv BOR ~/.Games

Quick Launcher:

alacarte

Icon: ~/.Games/BOR/bor.png

Save and exit.

You can now start the game from Application tab —> Games —> Beats of Rage

For full Screen press F11
